In October 1993, the Government of Trinidad and Tobago contracted the National Insurance Property Development Company Limited (NIPDEC) to manage the health system supply chain, on behalf of the Ministry of Health. To this end, a Pharmaceutical Division was created with its base of operation at the Centralised Warehouse facility,Chaguaramas.
